Taking approximately 45 weeks to complete, the medical assisting program at AmeriTech College will cost you just over $10,000. At its conclusion, you will walk away from the Draper campus with a certificate—should you complete the program successfully.

Over the course of three semesters, students will be required to take 37.5 hours worth of didactic instruction and lab training, followed by an externship that’s 180 hours. In total, students should expect to be enrolled at ATC for at least 45 weeks.

Lasting about ten months total, students at BATC strive to earn a medical assisting certificate. The cost of tuition and fees is $2,620. These “fees” include things like a background check and certification examination at the program’s conclusion.

Textbooks and supplies will be an additional charge of $680. If needed, Pell Grants are available.

DATC offers a certificate program that takes approximately 15 months to complete. Tuituiton and fees will cost students about $3,645, while textbooks and supplies will cost $1,277. Both Pell Grants and scholarships are available here to students that need it (assuming you apply and are approved, of course)

The Latter Day Saints Business College provides you with a Certificate in Medical Assisting.

The medical assistant program here is designed to take anywhere from 13 to 26 months to complete. The reason the length of school varies so much is because your time in school is based on what your schedule is, and how well you progress throughout the course.

Students can enroll in the Salt Lake Community College medical assistant program and, once they successfully graduate, sit for the Certified Medical Assistant examination that is provided by the AAMA.
