Anthem offers students at the Fenton campus the chance to pursue either a diploma or degree. The diploma program lasts 41 weeks, and medical assistant students can expect to pay $15,387 for tuition and fees, and an additional $276 for things like textbooks.

The degree program, however, is more involved. Students can expect to be in the course for at least 69 weeks. Tuition will cost approximately $27,162, while textbooks will be an additional $385. Room and board is not an option at this school.

Located at Heritage College in Kansas City, you can get on a track towards earning your Associate’s Degree in a program entitled X-Ray Medical Technician – Medical Assistant.

This is a program that will not only teach you how to become a medical assistant, but also how to perform limited scope X-Rays.

This program is 18 months long and costs $over $25,000 when you factor in the price for tuition, textbooks and other fees.

The Midwest Institute is interesting, because not only do they offer you a certificate program that can be earned on-campus in Earth City, but the school also provides a Hybrid training course, which means that you can learn how to become a medical assistant through a mix of traditional classroom instruction and online classes.

As for the certificate program in general, the program costs $$14,755 for tuition. Books are another price entirely, and you can expect to pay $602 for them.

The program itself is designed to last 32 weeks, though some students take longer to complete the program.

NAU offers an Associate’s Degree to students interested in pursuing a medical assisting career.

At the County campus, prospective medical assistant students have the option of pursuing a diploma or degree program during either the day or evening.

If you want a degree, day classes will take you 72 weeks to complete the program, while evening classes will be 96 weeks.

For a diploma program, regardless of whether you take day or night classes, the program is designed to be completed within 36 weeks.
